Who am I?

Hi there! My name is Laura Melendez, and I’m a passionate hairstylist with over eight years of experience in the beauty industry. I’ve been a licensed professional since 2016, and I can confidently say that I absolutely love what I do! Helping women feel more beautiful and empowered is truly rewarding, and the fact that I get to make a career out of it? I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

A little bit about me—I’m 28 years old and recently married the love of my life on November 9, 2024. My husband and I made a big move about three years ago from Chicago, mainly to escape the cold winters. Now, we’re fully embracing the warm weather and loving every bit of it!
 I trained at Mario Tricoci University of Beauty Culture, where I had an incredible learning experience. Even before graduating, I landed an opportunity as an apprentice at a high-end salon. Over the course of a year and a half, I worked alongside experienced stylists, soaking up as much knowledge as I could. I spent 4.5 years in that salon, honing my skills before deciding to branch out on my own.
In 2020, just before the pandemic, I took a leap of faith and started working for myself. It turned out to be the perfect timing, allowing me to offer a more personalized, one-on-one experience for my clients. I quickly realized how much I love taking the time to understand my clients’ needs, address their hair concerns, and focus not only on creating beautiful styles but also on maintaining healthy hair.
